The Brush Patrol Truck
1995 Hummer H1 Custom Brush Patrol

This Brush Truck is capable of pumping and driving at the same time because of its B&S electric start V1800 250 GPM water pump mounted midship where the back seats would have been. Everything on this truck has been restored and works with the exception of the A/C which is on the list for the future. There is a 12,000 pound winch front bumper mounted and full emergency lights and sirens to meet the requirements of the times.
This 1995 Hummer H1 Brush Truck is 14-feet long and 8-feet wide and just under 10 feet tall and weighs 10,100 pounds with some fuel and water in it. Unlike most Hummers, this one came with a GM Vortec 5700 5.7 Liter Gas engine with a GM 4L80-E Automatic Transmission with manual engagement 4-wheel drive.

The reason for the gas engine is because the LAFD fleet had not quite migrated over to Diesel. Designed to carry 2 fire fighters with 200 gallons of water and 200 feet of Redline hose on a power retractable hose reel mounted at the back. Also carries up to 400 feet of 1 ½ inch hose line and has an assortment of nozzles and wye’s.
